STEP 1: Open https://nsfas.org.za/.

- Select NSFAS Status from the menu

- STEP 1: Access the NSFAS Portal by logging in.
- STEP 2: Please enter your ID number and a valid password.
- STEP 3: Click on Track Application after signing in.
- STEP 4: You will be able to view your current status. There will be three statuses displayed, along with their names and explanations.
Approve: Funding has been approved for the NSFAS application.
Pending: We are still reviewing the application.
Rejected: It has been determined that your application has not been approved and has been rejected by NSFAS.
NSFAS Status Check via WhatsApp
It is necessary to first have an Android smartphone in order to be able to check your NSFAS status using WhatsApp. In addition, please follow the instructions below.

How to Find NSFAS Status Using Reference Number
A unique number appears when a candidate applies for NSFAS funding and submits an application form. It is known as the NSFAS reference number. It is possible to track the current status of the application.
- STEP 1: Visit the official website of NSFAS that is (nsfas.org.za).
